Chattanooga Football Club is pleased to announce the 2024 Open Tryout for the men's team will take place on Saturday, January 20 at Finley Stadium.

The club is committed to honoring a long-standing tradition while it also moves forward into MLS NEXT Pro next season. This is part of the club’s long-standing tradition of offering a shot at the first team for anyone in the community and beyond.

Last year's open tryout saw players from Alabama, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC and Wisconsin take part.

"The open tryout is a critical aspect for our club as it allows unknown players a chance to show their talent," said Head Coach and Sporting Director Rod Underwood. "We have had nearly a dozen players make it through the open tryout and get invited to training with the first team. Last season we had one player from the open tryout (Jungwoo So) who went on to sign a first-team contract." 

The tryout will be divided into a morning session from 9:00-11:00 a.m. followed by a break for lunch, and then an afternoon session of games from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Check-in for players begins at 8:00 a.m.

Select players could then have the opportunity to join the first team in preseason training or attend a combine.

Stands will be open to the public to watch on Saturday. No ticket is required. 

NOTE: Players must be at least 16 years of age to participate in the open tryout.
